I couldn't resist buying the Stamp Anniething Wizards Box when it was available for preorder and was so excited when I started to actually see what was inside.
I created this fun shaker card using the girl wizard, banner, globe/orb die and papers from the box. Even those red crystal shaker bits (adornments) were in the box too! I wanted to create a shaker with an open side, so to speak. Since the holidays provides a lot of thick, clear plastic packaging, I clipped the flat plastic windows from boxes and reserved for projects like this. To create the invisible shaker edge, I merely scored my thick plastic sheet twice, creating a 1/8" channel. I scored each of the two lines to create a boxed edge for my shaker window, as seen below.
I stamped the sentiment on the interior of the card so it could be seen through the magical orb when the card is closed. For added interest, I decided to add the banner to the top with the stamped sentiments characteristic of a certain lion house. I love that it all came together! Have you tried this type of shaker card before? I created this card for the Stamp Anniething Week #36 Theme Week Challenge: Gift Card Holder. I got so wrapped up in the shaker part that I neglected the gift card bit. But, really, can't the card just hold the gift card too? Hmm.. lol xo
