This week with Witt & Sass Stamp Co we are featuring the incredible You are Beautiful stamp set. The sentiments are so uplifting, making this set perfect for those occasions when someone needs encouragement or a hug. I wanted to work with black and white for this set for some reason. I wanted the sentiment to be a focal point as much as the beautiful floral image. I stamped the flowers and embossed with white embossing powder, then painted them with Gansai Tambi Starry Colors metallic watercolor paints. For the leaves, I painted on some watered down Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Seaspray Green. The sheen is so lovely on the black. I lightly splattered golden drops of watercolor paint all over the panel for added interest.
I stamped the smaller floral elements randomly onto my white card base using the new Catherine Pooler ink color Twilight, adding a touch of gold watercolor to their centers. The sentiment was stamped in VersaFine Onyx Black ink with the added black sentiment strip adhered just below with foam tape. The top panel was cut with a lovely border die and attached to the card front with foam tape. I added just a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Metallic Bright Gold to complete the card.
This set would make perfect wee notes to tuck in a friend's purse, lunchbox, or randomly left in public, as fun affirmations for someone to find (yes, I will be doing this).
I created a couple bonus cards also using this set. I love the Frida inspired card; reminds me of the super trendy unicorn cards of like design, but Frida was a unicorn in real life. ;) Be sure to check out the rest of the designers' creations for more amazing inspiration with this set!
