Welcome to the April release with Sweet Sentiment. Jammie is releasing four new stamp sets today and I happily played with three of them. I was most excited about showing you how I was able to transform each of the teen boys in the Having A Teen stamp set into girls -- doubling your character images with just a few extra lines! Scroll below for all of my release project inspiration!
Supplies used:
Having A Teenager (new)
Nap Time (new)
Listen To the Wind (new)
Gina Marie Whiskey Bottle Alpha set
Gina Marie Enamel Dots
Copic Multiliner Pens (on Amazon)
I wanted to show this image first, so you could see my pencil lines and Copic Multiliner Pen marks before coloring. (Note: Copic Multiliner Pens are watercolor and alcohol marker safe when dry, so they are amazing to have on hand when adding lines or correcting a stamp error.. lol) I tried to keep the lines simple so they would be easy to recreate for anyone that isn't comfortable drawing. I merely added rounded buns, a simple ponytail (with wee rectangle for the hair tie), and extended the hair behind the girl's ear on the left, masking the boy's bangs by added a hair wrap. I also added earrings on a couple of them.
I also wanted to color them in all different skin tones. I absolutely love how they all turned out!! Isn't it so cool?!
I found the perfect papers in my stash!!
So, it isn't just an A2 sized card (4.25" x 5.5"). It is actually a mini folder! Tuck in a note, cash, gift card, detention slip.. you name it! LOL
For the Nap Time set, I have been wanting to use this gorgeous Gelli print background my daughter made. I love the colors in it and thought it would pair well with our sleepy little bunny on a mini slimline card. This one is roughly 3.5" x 6". The sentiment was embossed on vellum, with the inner ink smudge portion of the sentiment stamped, fussy cut, and glued on top. (It didn't emboss very well and was difficult to read.) Be sure to keep an eye out for my next Nap Time card next Saturday. I used the same TriBlends to create a different looking bunny.
My final card is a slimline eclipse card. The dimensions are 3.5" x 8.5". I don't know why the photo seems washed out (sorry about that), but I added two embossed lines on the left of the card to better balance the design. I stamped everything in grey dye based ink and lightly colored with Spectrum Noir TriBlend alcohol markers. I added additional dandelion seeds floating in the breeze, across the eclipsed letters. I dragged a stripe of yellow alcohol marker across the sentiment in the same color as her shirt above the die cut "BREATHE"(from Gina Marie Whiskey Bottle Alpha set). It's very clean and simple, and evokes the subject of the card. I made this one with a very special person in mind.

Great job transforming the boys into girls. I have a question. How did you change the boys plaid shirt into just a t-shirt? I cant figure that out. Thanks!!
Apologies – I had skimmed over the whiskey bottle hashtag. Thanks!
Where are the BREATHE alpha letters from?
You nailed it on transforming the teen images; very impressive. Of course, your coloring is amazing as always.
