Welcome to a month full of Spectrum Noir inspiration!! What an incredible line up of themed dates every day from Spectrum Noir's amazingly talented line up of designers. I am so humbled to be among them. For today, you will see creations following the theme Under the Sea.
I stamped all images using Spectrum Noir Finesse ink in Flagstone for the cake and Noir Black for the mermaid and merman onto Spectrum Noir's Watercolour Paper Pad (love this paper!). Then I colored the images with my (small) collection of Aqua markers, using water and a small brush to mix and pull the colors. I say small collection to prove you can do more than you think possible with only a few colors.
For the ocean background, I scribbled my Aqua markers onto my counter and painted onto a piece of watercolor card. To make the ocean super shimmery, I then layered Sparkle inks over the background and let it dry. Sparkle ink was also added to their tales. Nuvo dream drops were added to the mermaid's headpiece, bikini top, and the shells on the cake. I love how it came together--the colors are so rich and vibrant and it isn't too girly that I think my husband will like it for our anniversary next month.
Please be sure to follow Spectrum Noir and find new ways to use products you may not be familiar with. xx
