Somebunny and a Hot Chick

It is time for Beth Duff Designs next challenge--Every Bunny!  You can find the Challenge details and free digital stamp HERE.  Like last time, she provides a free digital stamp that the entrant can use (optional) called Somebunny.  Naturally I had to use the adorable bunny and chick images.  

I played with the sizes and layout before printing the images (thank you for .PNG files!), and selected a lyric from Dolly Parton for my card.  I decided to create an easel card for this bunny and his friends.  To create the card base, simply cut a piece of cardstock in half, 4.25" x 11".  Score in the center for the centerfold, and then again at the point that you want the edge to fold up.  I know that is very non-specific, but the fold for the easel will depend upon what image you use and how you place it on that lower portion that stands up. 

I colored my images with Copic markers, adding a vast lawn of green beneath.  I lightly marked a line in pencil where I wanted the ground to be and fussy cut the images and ground edge, as seen above.  I brushed on a simple cloud sky behind the bunny on the top portion of the easel card front and adhered the sentiment to the lawn beneath the bunny.

For added interest, I glued on a couple flower embellishments from my stash to the bunny's ear and scattered across the lawn.  To keep the card open and standing, I glued a piece of grosgrain ribbon to the inside panel as a place for the bottom lip of the card front to rest (see below).

I think it turned out pretty cute!  And I just love these images!!  In fact, I created a fun bonus card using the chick below!

I applied Nuvo Embellishment Mousse in Lemon Sorbet through my My Favorite Things Radiating Rays stencil for the sun, cut the grass from green cardstock using Lawn Fawn's Grassy Border die adding some Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn for variation, and added my custom sentiment and flushed cheek chick (say that five times fast)!  She's just SO hot!!  ;)
