I'm so honored to be on the new Fairy Hugs design team! Their images remind me of other whimsical silhouette stamps, and I love that they also sell printed backgrounds to pair with the images.
For my first project, I've used a few stamps atop the Coral Reef Fairy-Scapes paper, cut to 4" x 5.25". I inked the panel with Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks then stamped Net with Weathered Wood Distress Oxide. Next came Mr. Oscar, stamped in Fairy Hugs Raven Black ink. For added texture, I layered Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide (often dabbing it onto the stamp with my finger). For more pow, I inked the stamp with glue and add the beautiful Shiny Penny Glitter Powder. With black and white gel pens, I redefined his eyes. As an embellishment in the upper left corner, I stamped the anchor from Sunken Ship on a scrap of paper using Rusty Hinge Distress ink, then adding a touch of the Fairy Hugs Raven Black ink on the bottom/shadow areas and re-stamped. I cut the anchor out with a 1" scallop punch and layered with dimension atop a lightly distressed 1.25" circle. I then layered the anchor portion atop a stripe of washi tape adhered to the underwater panel. To complete the card, the panel was attached with dimension to a top-folding A2 sized card base and the sentiment portions were added from a Tim Holtz sentiment pad.
