Along with the new April release line up from Kindred Stamps, the monthly set Travel to China will also be available today at 11am EST/8am PST. (Amazing fandom sets like Monster Hunter and Family Time, along with Seas the Day, En Pointe, Plane Awesome, and other restocks will be quick to sell out. Set those alarms!) The Chinese sentiment in the set means "Hello" in English and is written "ni hao" in pinyin Chinese. The other expression "Kung hei fat choi" is loosely translated as "May you have a prosperous New Year". This latter sentiment would only be used during the Chinese New Year celebrations.
I colored the girl's modern Qipao (or the more traditional Cheongsam) in soft spring colors to mirror the paper I selected for the background. I am not one to layer, but this card called for it. Gold mirror cardstock, white, and soft pink give this card a delicate, somewhat formal feel. A gold gel pen added just enough detail to her hem lines and silk buttons.
Spectrum Noir markers used:
Fair Skin TriBlend, Coral TriBlend (mouth), Pearl Blue TB1 (hair and dress shadows), Ice Grey Shades TriBlend (hair), Blossom PP1 (dress and shoes), Fruit Pink PP5 (dress and shoes), Blender

Just love this sweet card. Any info on the die she’s mounted on?
