Welcome to the March release with Kindred Stamps!! What an INCREDIBLE release this month with the reintroduction of some very popular stamp sets. I played with the former stamp set of this theme when it was initially released so it was super fun to be able to play with the new set Curiouser and Curiouser.

Curiouser and Curiouser (new)
Deck of Cards Stencil (new)
Time For Tea Paper Stack (new)
I thought it would be fun to try colored pencils again. So, I colored a whole bunch of images with my Prismacolor pencils. I love the softer look, what about you? I created a trio of projects (with a million more ideas in my head) using this crazy group of characters. I also used every single sheet/pattern from the new Time For Tea Paper Stack. The colors are so fun! I also lightly inked the new Deck of Cards Stencil onto the cover and back of the accordion album.
Mini slimline card -- about 3"x6". I let the amazing patterned paper shine, keeping the sentiment panel white and wide.
A simple tag or bookmark created with a 2" strip of paper cut with a tag punch. I layered a scrap of book paper (my tear up book in my craft room) to help break up the bold, busy pattern. This queen looks incredible and holds her own quite nicely.
My final project is a mini accordion album. The front and back covers are 3.5" square, covered/wrapped in a square of 4.5" thinner paper (again, my tear up book). The accordion pages were made with 2 strips of paper 3.25" x 9.75", scoring at 3.25" and 6.5" along the long side (creating 3.25" squares).
If you see on the third page where the card paper and queen are, you will notice a pocket. This is where the two accordion pages overlap, allowing an easy spot to add the pocket. Simply adhere the two pages only along the outer left, bottom, and right sides leaving the top open to tuck a note or tag. For the final page, I decided to create a shaker heart (instead of letting the back cover flapping open). I die cut the heart from the middle section of that long strip of paper AFTER adding my layered pattern paper mat. I layered tulle behind the heart and book page on the portion that would be seen through the heart, added a few small punched hearts and sealed up the page (and shaker bits) with Scor-tape. All mat papers are cut 3 1/8" square. The vellum pocket was created by adhering the vellum edges around the back of the pattern paper before attaching to the base page.
I decided to decorate the back pages of the accordion album with scrap book pages and die cuts from La-La Land Crafts, tucking that sneaky cat behind the books. The sender can tuck their own note behind the books since I only glued along the bottom, along the book shelf.
