I'm on the i-Crafter blog today sharing a fun Easter project using this month's new release Easter Basket (221019). (Affiliate links used in this post; I appreciate your support!)

Easter Basket (221019)
This basket is surprisingly very sturdy since the bottom has a double layer of cardstock. I created a handle using a strip of 1" x 6" white paper, adding a piece of ric-rac looking paper. I created this ric-rac strip by die cutting the patterned side panels tight on the paper, creating this fun design! It was surprisingly easy to line up the dies to lengthen the ric-rac strip.
You could always make the handle narrower, but I liked that it was sturdy enough to hold and was easy to align evenly on the sides of the basket, seen below.
I decided to attach the handles on the narrower sides so it wouldn't interfere or distract from the scene created on one of the longer sides. To further embellish the handle, I added the bow on top. I think it looks super sweet with the ric-rac trim beneath as well.
To add to the cuteness, I thought our sweet little chick would wear one of the broken shells upon his little head, leaving the other half tucked behind the greenery on the left.
