Happy Monday! I'm happy to share that I am a new Design Team member for the fabulous Skull and Cross Buns, based in the UK. I recently received my first design team kit to work with and my mind started pouring over the ideas. I decided to play with the two stencils--Small Double Arrows Large Stencil and Speech Bubbles Large Stencil--along with Quirky Sentiments for my first card. There is no coloring on this card, which is fun for a change.
I used the Small Arrows stencil to create my forest background, layering distress ink in various tones of green to build up my forest. I really love how it turned out and plan on doing this again for sure. I dusted the sky with Stormy Sky distress ink and inked in one of the speech bubbles from the Speech Bubbles stencil using Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. I stamped my two dinosaurs in a couple shades of Distress Oxide and heat embossed the sentiment in white after the speech bubble had dried. The finishing touch was the addition of googly eyes on the dinosaurs. It makes the stegosaurus look a bit nervous to get a hug from that T-Rex for sure!
