The next monthly releases from Kindred Stamps will be available tomorrow, Friday the 13th of November at 11am EST/8am PST. I was so excited to be able to color up the new Annie's Adventures stamp, Artsy. The sentiments are fun and send a positive message in lieu of the current events.
I opted for a pair of cards with similar design styles and colors (and a bonus tag with the same rainbow paper). Obviously, one is uncolored and the other I colored with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers, adding a sweet pout and freckles.
I found these gorgeous rainbow bulletin board borders at Wal-mart at the start of the school year. I love how bright the colors are and have been hoarding them for use. I decided to cut out the center of the canvas so the beautiful background would show through and leave our sweet little artist black and white. I stamped the paint splatter image with watermark ink for subtle interest.
Using the same rainbow border and grey card panel, I colored our sweet Annie. Both grey panels are attached to the card base on coasters (an eco-friendly alternative to foam tape).
I really love how fun these cards look together and I hope it inspires you to find fun ways to create without the pressure of coloring.
As a bonus, I created a tag using the same rainbow border paper. I selected an art scrap from my daughter to add to the canvas. I think it's just adorable and my daughter thought it was pretty special too. Wouldn't these be cute with a set of crayons/paints and a coloring book?
